- Uses
- Energy, Heavy industry, Maritime
Best for
- Liquid bulk storage and blending
- Oil trading and bunkering support
- Energy businesses that need pipeline links to tanker berths
Consider elsewhere if
- You need offices or warehouses for general trade (look at Fujairah Free Zone)
- You run general logistics or light industry
Who locates here
- Oil storage terminal operators
- Refiners and oil processors
- Oil traders and bunker suppliers
Property
Storage terminals connect to the port’s oil terminal (FOTT) through two matrix manifold systems, which also allow product transfers between terminals without chartering a vessel.
Our view for tenants
FOIZ is a specialist location for oil storage, refining and related services. Sites connect to tanker berths and to each other through the port’s pipeline and manifold system. It is not a location for general warehousing or light industry.
Our view for investors
This is an energy infrastructure market, not a general industrial one. Tenants are terminal operators and oil companies with large, specialised assets. A logistics developer would look at the service and supply businesses around the zone rather than inside it.
Notable
- VTTI Fujairah. Energy storage terminal next to the port’s oil berths; manages a refinery and operates crude processing units. vtti.com
